Focustalk

FOCUSTALK is the result of an outstanding job performance on a final exam project in a broadcasting class taught at Kennedy-King, which advanced Radio/TV Communications major, Dennis Snipe to the head of his class. His professional demeanor, attention to detail, and careful planning caught the eye of Kennedy-King’s administration and while a student he was hired as part of the broadcasting staff of Kennedy-King College’s Radio Station (WKKC, 89.3 FM). During this time, Dennis hosted one and produced two of the premier shows to air on WKKC.

Today, Dennis continues to host and produce FOCUSTALK . . . “The Thought-Provoking Solution Oriented Program . . . Daring To Make a Difference in Our Communities.” FOCUSTALK with Dennis Snipe has conducted interviews and discussions on countless topics of interest to listeners in the Englewood, Chatham, Jackson Park, Auburn Park, Morgan Park, South Shore, Avalon Park, Beverly, Evergreen Park and parts of the Southwest Side of Chicago. These interviews were conducted with local and national newsmakers such as late Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, former vice-president Al Gore, Roland Burris, Ed Gordon, Cliff Kelly, the Honorable Eugene Pincham, Branford Marsalis, Kevin Powell and former CEO of Chicago Public Schools, Paul Vallas just to name a few. FOCUSTALK has been in the past and will continue to be in the future, an unparalleled wealth of information and a viable resource for community empowerment.
